Allied Health - A Vital Part of Our Healthy Community

As one of our key partners, Allied Health professionals will link in to help improve the Health and Wellbeing of the Gold Coast area, which includes Canungra and Mt Tamborine.

The Gold Coast Medicare Local Allied Health Advisory Group (AHAG) meets monthly to provide strategic direction and leadership with regard to primary allied health care. It will provide comprehensive input to the establishment and activities of Gold Coast Medicare Local.

AHAG will serve as a reference body to provide evidence based information and contemporary practice methods to the Gold Coast Medicare Local Board and sub-committees. It is a collaborative way to discuss issues, share ideas and information to progress Allied Health services and identify emerging issues.
